Concepts for net zero energy data centre technologies published
December 2, 2015
Led by RenewIT consortium partner Technical University of Chemnitz (TUC), the project has published the final version of a catalogue of advanced concepts for renewable powered and energy efficient data centers.
The final version of the Catalogue of Advanced Technical Concepts for Net Zero Energy Data Centres provides a description of different combinations of energy efficiency and renewable energy generation technologies.
The catalogue is a unique addition to the data centre industry, and research community. There has been a lot of development around energy efficiency technologies for the data centre over the recent past, but little effort has been made to understand how these could be combined with on-site generation of energy from renewable sources.
