German-based BINE Information Service on energy research topics has published in a interview with Dr.-Ing. habil. Thorsten Urbaneck, who leads the Thermal Energy Storage division at Technical University Chemnitz, in German and English.

TU Chemnitz leads the investigation of advanced concepts in renewable energy supply for Data Centres, one of the core themes of RenewIT. Dr. Urbaneck discusses the ways in which local urban infrastructure, such as the large cooling network designed by a team from TU Chemnitz which he led, can be integrated with energy and heating/cooling for Data Centres.
