RenewIT project co-ordinating partner IREC was one of the organisers of the 9th edition of Barcelona Global Energy Challenges on 19th June 2014, and presented RenewIT at the lunchtime plenary session.

With nearly 200 attendees, Barcelona Global Energy Challenges is a leading European energy conference, and this year attracted plenary presenters from MIT, USA and York University, Toronto, Canada, as well as from the Energy Materials Industry Research Initiative in Belgium and Gas Natural, Spain.

RenewIT was presented by Dr. Eduard Oro and, in addition, IREC led an afternoon workshop on Energy Efficiency in Smart Cities alongside the City Council of Barcelona and CEEC, Clùster d’Eficiència Energètica de Catalunya.
